I made the giant cupcake with the Wilton mold.

The "top" part of this cooks quicker cause you use less batter, I found it simple to bake them both but remove the "top" part of the cupcake from the mold about 15 minutes before the "bottom" half. It came out super soft and everyone loved it! Smiley Also, I used sweettarts shaped like hearts for the sprinkles. Adorable! Smiley

I've been wanting to buy it. I got the mini cupcake pan from Wilton's. the giant cupcake pan is the next one I want. just can't decide if I want the cast aluminum or the silicone mold. the cast aluminum is one piece. the silicone is two pieces.

I would go with the one that's two pieces cause that way you can cook them for different times. idk.

I've had that mold for over a year now, and I just can't decide what I want to do with it. The hearts are a nice touch.  I haven't thought of many topping that are big enough. (Mike and Ike "sprinkles?")

And just when I stopped drooling over that informercial... I didn't know wilton made giant ones too. Are they easy to get out of the mold, or is it like a spring form pan?

I saw this mold the other day at Spotlight and I totally flipped out. When I brought it up to the counter along with my sewing supplies I had to leave it behind.
Why?
It was $79 AUD..

I love this!! I just stumbled across these pans the other day but passed on them (the last thing I need is more cake pans) But after seeing this I might just go back and buy it.
