hi, this is the first hat i have ever made. The pattern is from ' the art of crochet' magazine. i was really surprised at how fast and simple it was to make.

The colour is actually somewhere in-between the 2 pics. (sorry about my bad photography).

I think I would feel confident about designing my own pattern now.

beautiful job!  It looks like something I would like to tackle since you said it was on the easy side!

I love the bottom stitches with the holes between (sorry, not sure what they are called!)...makes a lovely lacey edge!!

wonderful color as well!

thanks for the comments. the yarn does have sparkly bits in it. Its just a bargain brand though. The pattern was in issue 3 of the mag i think.
