So the blinds in my apartment fell down in the craft room. Of course they still haven't come out to fix it. I had some brown curtains hung up, but in an entire room for crafting it doesn't seem right. Sooo I whipped this up today.
I used 9 shades of tape. I would have had more colors, but some of the colors I have aren't great for large projects. Plus I have a lot of dark colors that didn't go. I used shiny silver tape for the edges and some Michael's dollar bin ribbon for the ties.

It's 36" wide and 66" long, and made completely out of duct tape, minus the ribbon and a couple of staples. It is thumb tacked to the wall above the window and the top is folded down to cover the staples and tacks.

It's so hot in the room with the sun beating in all day that I had to wait until nighttime to hang it up. It's really going to cut out a lot of sun and I can roll it up if I need the light or fresh air. Smiley

Tell me what you think!  Grin

I think that this is awesome the colours work really well together and I can imagine that it will help you feel relaxed and cheery when its not so sunny outside. How long did it take for you to make?

A couple of years ago I bought 75 pounds of various colors.  Wink

Isn't it? I can't stop beaming!  Grin

It took about 4 hours from start to finish. I make all kinds of crap out of tape so it was actually one of my easier projects. Smiley

75 pounds!?!  Seriously!?!  WOW!  Before I read that, I was thinking "Wow, that must have taken a lot of duct tape!", but now I see you probably won't ever be able to get rid of it all!

I added a pic of what it looks like with light coming through. The flash makes it look all wrinkled but it really is pretty smooth.  Smiley
