My mother made a trip to Africa in the fall, a sort of once-in-a-lifetime adventure. She's redecorating her room to on the theme of this trip, so inspired by one of her photos, I made a lino block print:

This is her photo:

Isn't it an amazing photo? She took that at the Ngorogoro wildlife preserve in Tanzania.

So I then printed this and an elephant block I made years ago, onto fabric, and made this pillow for her:

That is really really lovely!  How do you do that on fabric?  Is it a different type of ink/ paint?

Thanks Ambri!
No, I use the same ink. I stick to water-based block printing ink, because it's more environmentally-friendly. I print onto paper or fabric by hand, using a baren (a flat disk wrapped in bamboo leaf). When I print onto fabric, I heat set it with an iron. It works well for pillows, which would only be gently washed. I wouldn't throw it into a washing machine, because then it would fade.

These turned out AMAZING. I really love the lion one. That's so special that it's a lino print of a photo she took herself. Again, amazing.
