That book is the favorite here with ALL of the kids, even the adults that hear it LOVE it!  Super duper adorable.  That puppet almost didn't make it to your house because Liberty wouldn't let go of it, but finally I told her I would make one of her own and she finally let the hostage free  LOL!  I do hope everyone likes their goodies as we had so much fun creating everything.  Oh BTW, not sure if I mentioned it or not, but my 10 year old drew the fairy on Katie's library bag.  Enjoy!

finally...big ol' slacker me, is going to get my pictures posted. sorry about the delay. I promise you will be jealous  Wink
I wish I had gotten pictures of how this all came out of the box, She had the quilts and t-shirts all folded up so nicely with such a lovely presentation. but, alas...the boys dived right in and had to see what they had gotten in the mail.  Smiley
First off, I got Harold's Purple Crayon Treasurey, which is several books in one. BONUS! Then Each of my boys got their own t-shirt and quilt. David's is a little large, but the others fit great. David grows like a weed so it won't take long. She matched up each boy with his favorite color. Mark with green, Bob with orange and David doesn't know his favorite color yet, so he got blue. Even the quilts are different sizes depending on the boy. How thoughtful. The boys had to wear their shirts to church on Sunday and They won't sleep without their new quilts.  Grin I have happy boys. David's quilt has little fringes all over it, he loves to play with it.
I feel spoiled!

Okay, get ready, because the swap stuff I got is AMAZING!

I have two little girls, and we homeschool, so I asked for educational or creative crafts, or other extension activities to use with the book. leigh123 sent us an awesome ocean-themed package.

Our book is Seashells by the Seashore. It's an ocean book, a counting book, a shell identification book, AND it's autographed by the author!

With it we got a ton of seashells that her little boy collected for the girls, along with ribbon and paint and other little things to decorate them with. So far, though, the girls are thrilled by sorting them and looking at them.

This matching game is really, REALLY cool. Tell me if I'm mistaken, but it looks like the images are hand-drawn, then printed onto fabric, then sewn? It's a perfect number of pairs, too, for my little people.

I love the fabric on this beach bag!

The girls played with their colored sand constantly, until now it's all a nice, uniform greenish-brown color, instead of the oceany blue and yellow and green that it started out as.

Finally, the roll-up ocean scene felt board is really special. The detail work on the felt pieces to go with it is incredible!

The girls LOVE their presents, and it's given me a ton of ideas of other activities do do for an ocean theme. Thanks, leigh123!

Here is Levi's Package!

I was in class the day it arrieved, my mom was on the phone so when the mailman came Levi got it from the front step and knew it must be for him b/c of the recycled dino box it was in!  He got my mom to open it for him, and then went in his school room with it.   He got everything out himself and had already made some pictures by the time I got home

Here he is!  He got markers (we needed some!), and stickers, and made dino pictures.   He also got some wooden dinos which we are going to paint.
The book itself is AWSOME.  Its a pop-up book, with a big detailed dino on each page, and then a couple of smaller mini-book sorta flaps on each page that have small pop-up dinos in it.  So there are a TON of pop-ups in this book, all very detailed, and facts about all of the dinos.     It is really cool.

here  is the box it came in, a shirt with his name and a dino on it (i'll have to look in the book to find out what its name is!), and the wood dinos.  There is also a 2 sided felt board, which has a ton of dinosaurs, trees, rocks, volcano, and other stuff for him to put on it.  .   He spent a long time making up his own story playing with this!

Thank you very much!

Here is the loot that Marley and I received from StephanieGravett

She sent a Wow Wow Wubzy book (from Nick Jr), a tote with Wubbzy painted on (the girl has mad painting skills), a Wubzy craft for Marley and me to do together, and, not pictured is a bracelet with Marley's name. It's not pictured because she wore it to bed.  Grin

Thanks, Stephanie! Hope you and your girls enjoy your stuff.

Here's a link to a video of the girls enjoying their play sand:

Such a wonderful toy!

I'm worried that little Levi's parasaurolophus shirt is NOT going to fit him--I'm afraid that I was crafting for the little guy in your avatar, not the great big guy in those photos!

Actually, he is SUPER tiny, only 23lbs at 31months old.   He wears an 18month (well usually we get him 2T b/c his head is so big), so the 3T shirt you sent is actually a little big on him!  He wore it yesterday with some plaid pants... insisted even though plaid and stipes look funnny together!

Cute video btw!   Its awsome how kids are so entertained by the simple things.... Levi has his 'sensory box' filled with buttons right now and they have kept him happy for a whole week already!
