I usually use spray paint for these projects.  On those mirrors you can usually take the screws out of the back so you can paint it without messing up the mirror.  Or do a lot of taping and covering it with paper.  If you do git the mirror messy, you can use a razor blade to clean the paint off.  Great job!  I absolutely love that blue!

I like the color. Another thing you could have done was once you covered the mirror in blue you could have wiped some off on the high points and detailing to have the silver show some. I'll bet the combo would have been nice as well. I suppose if you wanted to do something like that, now, you could do a little leafing.

If you want to really bring out the details and antique it back just a bit...go to the craft store and get the cheapest brown paint there is.  You water it down some in a small trash container, just like a Tablespoon of paint and four Tbsps of water, and just slop it all over the frame.  Then with a soft rag, just rub and buff off the top area, don't get down into all the deep areas.  It will make it really pop.  If it isn't dark enough, do it again and let it stay on just a bit longer.  Too dark?  Before it gets really good and dry, take a rag and really go after it, lifting some more of the paint off.  I really enjoy doing this to furniture that I want to revamp and yet keep older looking.  If you decide to do it, post pictures again.  It is a lovely pc!!!
