I hope I posted this in the right place, I suppose this could also be in house decor?? Please let me know if this should be moved! Thank you...
A few months ago someone on Freecycle posted a tub of fabric scraps and I jumped on it! at the time, the lady responded saying someone else had already spoken for the tub and if they didn't show up, it would be mine. I assumed that was that, until I heard back from the lady the next day who posted the tub of scraps and said the person was a no show. Well, I went ahead and picked it up, was elated and sort of overwhelmed once she gave the tub to me!
I brought it home, sorted through it all to see just what I had to work with. Some of the scraps were far too small to be sewing with so I wrapped the tiny strips into balls and have recently been working through the balls. Here are a few of the pieces so far that have transpired from the strips
Hope you like them!
C & C are always welcome!
Also - here is a pattern to make a basket basket and you can add your own personal touches
Each line indicates a row:
- in a magic ring crochet 6 (6)
- in each sc, sc2 repeat to end (12)
- sc 1, sc2 in next (inc) repeat to end (18)
- sc 2, sc2 in next (inc) repeat to end (24)
- sc 3, sc2 in next (inc) repeat to end (30)
♦ Depending on how big you want the bowl - continue adding 1 stitch to the sc stitches that are not part of the inc until you have the width you want the bowl to be.
♦ From there, work around the sc's until you get to the height you desire.
♦ Have fun with this!
the possibilities are endless!
thank you for looking
