These are super cute!  My dd loves wearing dresses and skirts, but I always end up putting shorts on underneath...these will be great and I don't have to make sure that I have 2 articles of clothing clean.

But on mine, the shorts are actually ruffled bloomers, so look like another skirt underneath.  I may need to try your version, too - can't have too many cool things to wear come summer!

Hey - do you think it would work well with a knit fabric?  My dd likes soft knits . . . I suppose I could always give it a whirl! Smiley

I think you could do them in knit, but I would take out some of the ease in the fabric and don't make it quite so twirly.  It should work though.
