I need help with gloves and mittens

So I have patterns for both but I don't understand how to get the thumb on there anyone have pictures or video. I really need help!

Hey PetStoreGirl, your pattern should tell you to increase stitches that will be used to make the thumb. If it doesn't maybe try another pattern? Good luck, look forward to seeing your finished project on here.

yea it does but me and patterns on click when I can see someone perform the technique....can you think of anyone who might do a video on that i already checked youtube and basic knitting cites...maybe one of you could take pictures for me I'm desperate these mittens are useless without thumbs lol

If you post a few of the rows where you're stuck, we can talk you through it. There's usually a part that mentions 'thumb gusset' which is increasing stitches at the base of the thumb where the hand is wider. Then after you inc to X sts, you put them on a stitch holder and work on the hand part, going back to the thumb later.
