Not sure what we'll embroider... but I'm in need of a embroidery swap of some kind...

*Updated 2/14
Discussed this far:
  • Various Skill Levels are Welcomed
  • Will be embroidering an item that is suitable for wall art or as a pillow front (or whatever the receiver plans to use it for.)
  • Will need to "stalk" your partner to find their preferences.
  • Block to be between 8x8 to 12x12.
  • Signups to proceed from 2/22 to 3/6
  • Partners assigned on 3/7
  • Mail out by 4/3
  • International Swappers Welcome!

I've been wanting to do a traveling tea towel swap and am patiently waiting for the next one to come around. Also on my list is to make a quilt inspired by one I saw here on craftster that had incorporated embroidered redwork blocks into it.

I'm trying to swap less, but both of those things are on my 50 projects for 2010, so its allowed  Grin

I, too, am trying not to be in a ton of swaps at once, but I'm really into embroidery right now, so I might be interested, depending on timing.

Traveling Tea Towels are alot of fun and alot of dedication over several weeks.  We had a flaker in the round we were in and she flaked while having 2 semi-finished towels.  So we'd need to make sure people were really dedicated to avoid that this round...

Any other type of embroidery things you'd like to do?  Time frames that would be good?

awww, that's too bad. Hopefully that won't happen again - it kinda messes the whole thing up, huh?

My preference would be late Feb (or beyond) for signups. I need the time to find or order some nice towels. I need some to make some Christmas gifts anyway. Do you have a favorite place to get your towels from?

I would be interested if it were in March or April.

What about sign ups 2/22 - 3/6?

We'll figure send outs once we figure out what we want to do. Smiley

Hoping we get some more interest and ideas of what to embroider/swap.

I've just begun embroidering, so I'm not sure if I should/could join, but I'm interested. Smiley  I've done one small project and one medium project and I have another one I'm starting.  I should have tried embroidery a long time ago! Smiley
