Has anyone used this program before?

http://kxstitch.sourceforge.net/

I just found out about it and downloaded it for my netbook. It's an open source cross stitch program that looks like it has similar features to PCStitch. Just wondering if anyone else has had any experience designing patterns with it before.

I tried it and really liked it. I thought it was a good program. I wish Windows had it's own version. If my computer didn't have crafting software on it I would be a Linux girl. DH & I are running straight Windows now but I am thinking of doing another Linux computer and that will be the first program I download. Ok, maybe an updated Firefox will be first but KX Stitch will be next. Cheesy

I plan on installing Ubuntu 9.10 on our main use desktop--I just keep putting it off because I keep picking up new craft projects! The program is a little difficult to use on my tiny netbook just because the window size is so small, but I think it would be pretty great on our regular computer.

lylacfey - You could always make a dual boot machine! That way, you can have the best of both worlds Smiley

The computer I have now hates dual booting. It goes beserk. The last computer I had was not happy unless I did a dual boot.

Thanks for the netbook tip. I keep threatening to buy a netbook but I keep hearing how the screen is too small for anybody who loves to design or do graphic work.
