I think it's absolutely incredible.

Without the description, I could have spent a long time guessing the material.  At first I thought it was leather, then wood, then a metal belt buckle...  To me, that makes it extra intriguing.

honestly I think this is the coolest ceramics piece I have ever seen, it is beautiful.
You could sell stuff like this, people would probably pay big bucks.

That really is gorgeous, and I agree totally with Maldania that the clay and glaze colours are exactly right for the woodblock print style. How big is it?

Wulf, as far as the size goes, it's 8.5 x 12.5 inches. So that's not huge for a platter, I think.

It's really cool. I like how the color and shine of the background reflects the eel that's dark and slimy. Kinda like a screen cap off of those deep sea documentaries. I'm jealous of your friend!  Cheesy
