So I started reading the Sookie Stackhouse books...and I like them!  WITB may be next ...especially since DH just suggested getting netflix so we could catch up on all the seasons of Bones we have randomly watched!

I'm putting my two cents in - still trying to decide if I can swing this swap. The books by Val McDermid are well worth reading - if you like intense and wordy detective/police procedurals. The BBC series is delish - I love Robson Green. And the US tried it out as a series with Jeffrey Donovan (of Burn Notice fame) and I think Vera Farmiga was his ex-wife? It only ran for a few episodes but I remember liking it.

Also, Val McD has another series with a female lead detective and one or two stand-alone mysteries. She has a great author's page/blog. She's very funny and hobnobs with alot of other British Isles writers.

I'm thinking about joining this for my mom, could I do that? I've never read a mystery, though I think I have some on my list, but my mom has always been a big mystery fan. In fact we used to watch "Mystery" at 9pm on PBS every Thursday because they did Poirot for a long time. I think it would be fun to craft for this and have my partner send to my mom instead of to me. What do guys think, should I sign up?

Wed be happy to have you jexxican but please put your adress and moms in teh app just so Ive got some "just in case" info.

Mind tho, you may have to read a mystery novel or watch a different detective show to prep for your partner. Unless your mom can advise on that front.

Oh, I have totally watched plenty of mysteries in my day. Our latest TV show addiction is Bones AND we love Monk, which is that considered a mystery show? It's a detective show so if CSI and Bones are then Monk should be too, right? Whatever

Anyway, I am totally signed up and I totally already have a super dooper awesome idea that I know anyone in THIS group will love and I will have to make an extra for my mom. Ah! I am so excited for this swap and I won't even be receiving! AH!  Grin  Cheesy Grin Cheesy Grin
