Creatures...some watercolor/collage illustrations

Here's a little collection of some watercolor stuff I've done over the last 6 months or so...



I painted the bird & mushroom seperately, then cut them out and glued them onto a sheet of scrapbooking paper. I made it before my sweet birdy passed away, while she was sick.



This was for my brother's birthday. He has an adorable green cheek conure whose favorite snack is peanuts. I put the bird on stickyback foam so it would stand out a little from the background.



A mole inside a cupcake! The sprinkles are seed beads...


Finally, this owl. I drew him separately from the watercolor background, then cut & pasted. I like to do that instead of masking because it makes a cleaner line and I don't have to wait for things to dry.

That was my involuntary first response. Nice job! I love your ink-over-paint style so much; it's like, whimsical but controlled. And that parrot is fabulous.
