Steps1. Cut Styrofoam ball in half.
2. Wrap and adhere Wool Roving around the Styrofoam ball.
3. Accent cupcake top with pearl beads or corsage pins.
4. Paint and glitter wooden knobs to be the cherry on top of the cupcake.
5. Using felting needle and foam block, felt wool yarn into the green felt and then trim out leaf shape. The wool roving goes far. It can be stretched and manipulated into place. Make sure when felting the leaves to keep your needle straight and work with a cutting mat under your foam block. The needle can be damaged from going side to side with it.
6. Adhere leaf to top of cupcake.
7. Cut tan felt into the desired size for the cupcake base. I cut a slight arch in my pattern to create the top of the cupcake larger than its base.
8. Sew stripes in felt to make it look like a cupcake liner.
9. Add circle shaped base and place a washer inside of the liner before stuffing it. This will give it weight so it won’t tip over.
10. Adhere the top of the cupcake to the liner.
11. Paint and glitter a wooden candlestick. Add trim around it.
12. Using patterned paper, cover the lid to a Paper Mache circle-shaped box. Add lace and rick-rack to lid.
13. Adhere lid to base and create a cake stand.
14. Embellish cake stand with a crystal hanging from a jump ring.
15. Place on display for a special occasion.
