Aww, thanks peihan17!  I'm working on it, getting things straightened out between the doctors and specialists they're sending me to is so crazy! 

I LOVE your piece!  Her face looks great so far too.  I think that blue background really makes the whole pattern pop out.  Great job!

Well its official -- I'm not to stitch anything for at least 3 more weeks-- maybe more!!
Went to see the doctor yesterday and he figures I gave myself tears (micro) in the area around my thumb.
One good thing is -- I didn't hurt it cross stitching this time!! Damn scissors and thick material!!

Here is my update -- Not sure when I will get back to this yet. When I do get back into stitching it will be small little things!!!

I have a wizard update, Been working on him a bit but now that I got a new job stitching is slowing down.  I have made progress though and thought it was about time for an update.  I'm sorry the picture is not better quality but it is what it is. 



I'll just keep on stitching, stitching, stitching, stitching.

Mrs.Kitty, the wizard looks great!  I love it on the dark fabric... I think I want to try that for my next project (maybe it won't get as dirty as quickly!)

HistoricalNeedle, that sucks.  Hope your thumb heals soon.  That's some hardcore scissor use!  I've had sore hands before, but never any lasting damage    I'm impressed, haha

God, I am so ashamed when I see what you all manage to stitch up in short periods of time. I seriously lack cross stitch skills...

Agh, somehow, several months ago, I stopped receiving updates on this thread without knowing it, so I'd assumed the thread had died. Then I finally come check, and find so many wonderful surprises! Yaaay, big projects live on! 

I haven't even looked at my big project in months, but recent events have inspired me to jump back on the horse.  The first half of cross-stitches are nearly finished, probably finished "enough", because I'm going to use several kinds of bigger stitches on top of most of what I've done. I printed out all the pages of my pattern and scribbled notes all over them of what kinds of stitches to do where. Here's the current progress, with the color/exposure bumped up a little too much:


From this distance it looks pretty good, but up close there are still lots of little pockets of unfinished work to be done.  And I will now go get started on that!
