tamakins37 - He looks AMAZING!!!

This may have been discussed before I started on this board (sorry) but what, if anything, do you have planned for the finished piece?

Yay! First word is done, two more to go  Undecided I'm really excited and think it's coming out really rad. I am going for slightly messed up look which has been very helpful with some of the mistakes I have made lol.

The start I made on the second line shows that I have been "blocking" the letters by doing the outline. I am working from a chart and its too much to keep counting lines and stitches while trying to watch a movie or hold a conversation so I started doing it this way so I dont need the charts nearly as much!!!

Hi all! Jumping into this thread now, as just found it Smiley Everyone's projects are absolutely amazing and beautiful, was in awe going through the previous posts.

Here's my work, it's a Dimensions kit called Three Bird Watchers, am making it for my grandmother. She's been seeing it come along and knows I'm working on it, just doesn't know it's for her.

Here's what it'll look like -

And here's my work so far -

Aww, that is cute! Is it really big? It's so not for me, it lacks colour... If it's always the same kind of colour, I get bored way too quickly.

I have been working (whilst in Germany) on my other big project, a Cut Thru Fairy Hill. Couldn't take my huge frame with me in the car :p.

Avi - glad you posted! Usually I am not into a lot of the kits and patterns sold in the stores but I do like kittens and cats and think the name of the piece is adorable so I am already enjoying your posts!!!

Great job so far and cant wait to see more!

its 14"x9", so it's a pretty nice size Smiley it's the largest I've done so far. I've only done small things before, maybe 5"x5" max, and never have really finished anything, so i'm really proud of this one Smiley

thanks! I hear you on the kits... I'm not fond of the typical patterns, they're all a bit boring. My next project is going to be mad ein kg-stitch, and is probably going to be either a map of Middle Earth (Tolkien) or a map of Isle Nublar from Jurassic Park - I'm obsessed with those movies, and my boyfriend is dreading the fact they're making a fourth one now Smiley
