I recently finished a page in my art-scrapbook (it's technically not a scrapbook because there are more art stuff in it than photo pages.)

This page was inspired by these lines:

But once in a while the odd thing happens,
Once in a while the dream comes true,
And the whole pattern of life changes.
Once in a while, the moon turns blue.

To go with that theme, I gave the clouds a silver lining and then glittered the moon and stars. The moon, clouds and mountains are layered with blue shaded calender paper, construction paper, clear blue plastic and newspaper cuttings. Then I printed out three of the four verses above in a simple font and glued them to the bottom.

Here's a quick collage of the page, hopefully showing you the layers on it:

And finally, here's my favorite part: Smiley

The stars were made to look as if they were hung from above. I used silver embroidery thread to do that and taped the excess to the back. Too bad for my messy fingers.

It actually turned out a lot simpler than I intended, but it's definitely a favorite of mine.  Smiley

Love to hear what you think!

That is beautiful! I love all the shades of blue, and the poem, but my favorite part is the strings hanging the stars.
