Thanks so much for the pattern, this was so much fun making.
I used a blue very similar to yours, just a little darker but I used a worsted weight.

I'm pretty used to using the magic circle to make amigurumi, but when you say "work in the round" in round 1-2, is it just increasing the row lengths? O_O

No, that's not what I mean. Although you start with a foundation chain, the piece is actually worked in the round, not in rows. This gives you a sort of stretched out oval shape instead of a circle.

This is an example of an oval crocheted this way: http://www.unique-homemade-gifts.com/images/crochet-oval-spiral.jpg

There's a tutorial that describes it in more detail here (scroll down to "basic oval pattern"): http://www.unique-homemade-gifts.com/crochet-circles.html

I made my own Ugly Bunny!!
I made the bag charm one, but used a worsted weight. I also put cardboard in him, before stuffing, so I don't poke myself. Then I put a strap of elastic on it so that I can put it on my arm when I'm sewing.

Thanks again for the great pattern!!
