I was just thinking today about needing to make a picnic blanket soon...well, before summer happens, anyway.  What is yours backed with, smittenheart?  I would love to have one that was just a bit waterproof on one side and like a quilt on the other side.  I've used fleece outside and it just gets everything stuck to it.  But I have tons of quilting cotton I could use.

Yea, it's just a plain 'ole cotton fabric... It would be nice if it were water proof, but since I have no experience with that kind of fabric I was a wee bit scared of it and didn't want to goof it all up!   Smiley  I'm thinking maybe, just maybe, that the cotton would be easier to ball up and put in a bag, too

Yay Smittenheart!!!  I'm glad you like everything and the iffy fabric!!  Grin  Before I sent to you, I had the box of stuff at work..... one of my co-workers picked up the apron.... Lordy he'll kill me if he ever sees this.....

Ain't that just precious?!?   Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

To show you the weird mood I'm in, when I read your post, my first thought was, "I wonder what a bee's leg would like like through a microscope?"
As a biologist (zoologist) I can tell you they look just like any other insect's leg! Joints and chitin!

And I LOVE the apron...so jealous!

Lydia I had to read your avatar like ten times to figure out what the heck it meant..still didn't get it. My husband clued me in. Yep..I live under a rock Tongue

Oh, WOW!!  I love True Blood!  You should check it out.  Supernatural, supensful, and hilarious all at the same time.

The books are great too.
