she really did love it, and i wish i could take more photos of it, but its at college with her right now.

I've never even CONSIDERED doing an elongated log cabin!  I love this so much.

you know, i really hadn't either..and frankly was a little skeptical that i would like it.  but i think the key is not to make the center blocks too thick.  these were around 2.5-3 inches by 18-20 inches...but a couple blocks that didnt make the cut had a much thicker center piece and was really odd looking

I love the colours you have chosen.  This gives me an idea of a smaller quilt for my new granddaughter.   Loved the wavy line - great to gather together all layers.  What a good job.  Well done you.
