Okay I'm totally in.  This is the year of the fiber for me, I think.  I just taught myself to crochet and hand-dyed my first yarn and then taught myself to needle felt... I've discovered an almost scary obsession with yummy merino roving, and I love hand dying, so I'm off to etsy to find a spindle Cheesy

Futzzz! Nice to see you around here Smiley

I got my spin kit today! It came with a booklet with basic instructions but I'm still a little lost. I'm hoping lesson 2 comes out soon.. otherwise I'm heading over to YouTube!

So good to see all the eager spinners ready to go!
I was thinking that it might take 2 weeks or so for everyone to get their stuff (postage, etc) but it seems like a lot of people have their stuff. I'll go through the thread and count how many people are ready with their equipment  Smiley

With this learn-to-spin along, I plan on using all types of tutorials that are out there to help you guys. My aim to to make spinning clear and educate y'all with enough info to continue your spinning journey yourselves in whatever direction it may take you  Smiley

yup, you've unfortunately got me on the correct list.  shipping from the states has been taking longer than usual it seems,  I probably wont get my supplies until the end of next week.  I can always catch up I am sure.

Yuppers, I'm waiting on supplies, but if you went ahead and posted your next lesson, then I'll catch up when they arrive.  (I know if I had my supplies, I would be dying for the next lesson...and homework. Grin)

A heads up for, I was able to find 20g of wool roving at JoAnns, I bought some for my son to practice with, $3.99, used the trusty 50% off coupon, total was $2.13.  A little pricey for undyed wool not even a full ounce, but at least it's easily obtained.  I also found it at another local craft store, same brand, so it's out there.

Awww, let the lucky people with their supplies get their lesson!
Like the others who are eagerly waiting the mailman's arrival, I can catch up.
