Hello!

This is a felted beret I made for a niece this Christmas.  Crocheted, felted wool with needle-felted dots-n-details, and button eyes.

Adapted from this pattern:   http://www.numei.com/knittingpatterns_FeltedTamBeret.htm

I didn't have any black WOOL felt, so I made the face with black yarn.  Given how I expected it to look, I'm actually quite pleased with the result.

Thanks for looking, and any tips for future projects joyfully received!

Want to learn to crochet or knit?  I have a ton of extra crochet hooks & circular knitting needles.  Will throw in some pattern books and yarn for anyone interested in a swap.

We definitely need an action shot with this one.

If only I could get one! The child is soooo active that most of the holiday pictures came out blurred.

When I seen the picture I thought it was a lady bug pillow.

I actually gave them a standing offer to convert it into a pillow; the band size is correct for her head, but the main part of the beret looks huge on her wee, toddler's body...sorta turns her into a mushroom...  Undecided
