I live in a village in Bulgaria, and do not have access to many crafting materials (plus not being able to say much in Bulgarian, am unable to ask for things if I can not see them on display). But I am about to make my first ever trip to America next month. My shopping list has now begun in earnest. I definatley need to look for a pin to make one of these!!!

I crochet too, but couldn't figure out how to make a tiny crochet hook

aslde from wood , you can carve the hook out of a bar of soap...put some type of seal covering on it like nail polish/top coat and this way it won't melt when and if it gets wet!
