I have almost the same tattoo!  Except that mine is shaped like a heart and has a crochet hook instead of knitting needles.

I just got this yesterday, (eww brown blood spots) and it's starting to scab...but I eat it too much not to share immediately. I'm known for always having some yarn and a hook with me...and this way I will never be without my hook Smiley

Just a question though...how much did it hurt?  I have several tattoos, but none on my hands.

Thank you!!!

I have other tattoos too, and in comparison, this one hurt...Um...alot...like super crazy alot  Shocked ...the side of the knuckle was the worst...the fatty part towards the bottom of my hand was the easiest. but, it was pretty quick, i think we knocked it out in like 30 minutes (including set up), just took some deep breaths.

hint, if you do it (and you should cause it's RAAR grr ugggh!), take a crochet hook with you...cause it is unlikely your artist will know what a crochet hook is... the guys at the grave took to calling it my nose picker.  Cheesy

oh, and i was warned there would have to be touching up...which makes sense. I also have a finger stache and it faded pretty darn quick and had to be touched up, so I'm anticipating the same with this one (and dreading going through it again!)

Not the best pictures, but you get the point. I got a 2in ruler tattooed on my left index finger and a 5cm ruler tattooed on my right index finger. The first two pictures are right after I got them, the last one is after it healed. It's been almost 6 years since I got them, they've blurred a little, but pretty much look the same as in the last picture. They really have come in handy!

And this is my patchwork arm, even though people think it's barbed wire all of the time... The idea was to get each patch filled in whenever I went somewhere new, but I haven't had a lot of money, so only 5 are filled in. This picture was from 2005 or 2006, I think:
