I'm so sorry you lost your Mom.  I'm sure she would love the fact that you celebrate her pride in your talents like you do.  Yesterday was my Dad's birthday too.  He died 6 1/2 years ago and I spend every August 12 just immersed in memories of him.  That's my day to laugh "with" him, cry for him, even be angry at him every year.  I'm sure every year when my Dad and I have our day now, I'll think of you missing your Mom.

Thanks, I'm sorry you lost your Dad. Trust me I know what you've gone through, and what you're still going through.  How coincidental that their birthdays are the same day! I'm just glad I got to tell her I was getting it for her, before she passed. I took care of her the last 3 weeks of her life. The first 2 weeks she was doing well, then she went down hill I just keep thinking of her telling me she was fading fast while I was giving her a shower. It really breaks my heart.  The only thing I can take from it is take care of your kids because one day, they may have to take care of you!

Hi All! I finally got my cross stitch tattoo and am totally stoked! Been lurking in this board for a while (no crafty tattoos to post until now). I love how even folks who do the same craft don't seem to get stuck with the same tattoo!

Here it is up close:

And with the @$$-clown it's stuck with:

I got it with a little bit of my favorite color thrown in and tried to keep it as simple as possible. Really thinking about a skull and scissors or skull and needles for the other side...hmmmm

I got this one a few days ago. It's a weird combo of both my nerdiness for embroidery and Green Day Smiley
I was worried the stitches wouldn't translate, but it worked!

Translates perfectly... I'm not a 'fan' of Green Day (but I know who they are) and I picked up on the reference right away. Clever.
