I had a huge lace trim score at a thrift store awhile ago- it was a dollar or two for each spool of it (15+ yards on each). Of course I had to buy them. All of them. Don't recall how many, but at least a dozen. Lots of pink, blue, and white- cool. Tons of tan too, that's kinda ugly.

I found myself with more lace than I could ever imagine using, so I've started playing with it, doing projects just to use some of it. That's what this is.

I grabbed another thrift store item- a pink floral calico skirt- and started attaching lace. I was convinced it was hideous pretty much right up until I finished it... but once I put the black ribbon on the waistband, I decided I did like the dang thing. I'm going to go back over the spiderweb once more, but thought I'd put it up now anyway.

It's really hard to photograph, looks much better IRL. The pattern of the fabric doesn't stand out as much as it does in the pics.

No, I didn't have very high expectations on this one, so I didn't take a before pic. It's just a floral print, came from the gap- probably mid 90's. Not especially ugly, but not anything many people would wear currently.

It lovely!  Is the spiderweb sewn or drawn?  Embroidery thread might make it really stand out.

That's lovely! I also scored a bunch of lace in a thrift store purchase, in smaller quantities, but this is very inspirational!
