I made these for the STS but I liked them enough that I wanted to share them here too. I got these two wooden teacups at a thrift store and they sat in my craft room for about a year. I was cleaning out recently and almost got rid of them when I got this idea instead.

I painted them white, decoupaged them with origami paper, and made the steam swirls out of floral wire. They can sit on a counter or hang on the wall since I put hangers on the back.

This is such a funky improvement on those old wooden cut outs. I have to find some to try this out. Smiley

That's pretty rockin.'   Totally looks like something you'd buy at one of those little random gift shops.  And decoupaged with solid paper?  I love it.
