When "shopping" in my mom's craft room, I came across a small wooden bird. I kept it until inspiration struck a couple of days ago when I decided to decoupage it with scraps. I originally made it for my STS shop but my husband really liked it so I decided we would keep it. After all, he rarely gets excited about crafts so since he wanted to keep this one, I was delighted.

Thanks for looking!  Smiley

Oh!
It is precious!  The scrappy paper feathers look so fun!
Now I need to be on the hunt for little wooden birds (or try to make one from polyclay).

That's really cute!  And birds usually kind of give me the heebie jeebies, so that's saying something.

Hehe, I do wish I had some more of those birds because I think there are some STSers who would claim one.

That is absolutely precious! Do you have any idea where your mom may have come upon that bird?  Your decopage job is terrific!

Most likely a yard sale since she just had the one.

I think it was mentioned earlier but it wouldn't be too hard to sculpt that form in clay. You could decoupage over it and no one would know it wasn't exactly like the original. Though I'd guess that depending on the clay you used it might be a little weightier.
