Beautiful, but i'm equally impressed with your taste in beer.  Those are difficult to find on the mainland! Wink

ooh Yttrai..I should have mentioned the type of beers I used..totally got excited to post them I forgot to mention..I chose these because I am originally from Hawaii and saw these in the store and thought..'eek,a little taste of home in my soap'

YES!! sick I know! but I emailed the company to let them know I was using their beers in my soap..so they were cool with it..

my grocery store has a mix and match thing going on so its fun to just walk in and pick 6 very random beers..that darker one has coffee in it..interesting..

Nice soap!  Smiley

I've never used beer to make soap...does it make the soap have different qualities...?

lol. I will, I just ordered from Oregon Trail Soaps for the first time! I love various Hawaiian ginger body sprays and lotions (store bought) I've had over the years and can't believe I've never gotten any FO! I also got chocolate, wine and violets, cucumber, and coconut. I haven't bought fo in forever!  FO Ho's unite!

Woah, wine and violets?  That sounds incredible!

Smitten, those look awesome!  I'm also curious about the effects the beer will have (can you smell it?) on the qualities of your soap.  Let us know how it washes!

Yeah, I thought it sounded cool and Valentine-ish!

Haha, this is the seller's description:

Quote
The ancient Greeks added violet petals to wine as well as decorated and wore garlands with violets in the belief that it will prevent hangovers from drinking too much wine. The Celts and Germans also combined violets and wine so we thought, why not do it ourselves. I have personally soaped this fragrance and it is pure heaven.

But she had me at "wine"
