My mom and I collaborate on a lot of interior decorating.  She painted murals in the kids' rooms, but I asked her to keep my son's fairly simple as he's too young to care overly much.  Love the feel of being outdoors, but later decided the wide open spaces were a little too sparse.  I wanted to slap something cute up, but had little time to work with and four busy, grabby hands to work around.  So I grabbed:

two lengths of fake barbed wire i bought at the Dollar Tree
a cardboard box
a sharpie
a staplegun

I cut little fence posts out of the box and woodgrained them with the sharpie.  Then I stapled the fake barbed wire along the wall where the top of the fence would be, next added the posts, and finally drew on two more barbed wire "runners" with sharpie.  Ta-da!

It only took 45 MINUTES start to finish!!

Starts by the bed . . .
