WE're off to a start.

I put mine in the post today from freezing cold Siberia. What am I doing here in winter? Brrrrrrrrrr.

Back to my China home in a few days and then to tavel; my way back to my Australia home for a bit where I will meet my new bookmarks.

Wow!! I wish I could hop in your suitcase and travel with you!!

Oooo- I love love LOVE the tapestry looking ones and the one that looks like it's covered in fairy houses!! Are they just fabric swatches with yarn tassels or something even fancier?

Most of the bookmarks are fabric.  The blue/gold "Dumbledore" one was bagged out, then topstitched, and a button hole was sewn at one end.  Then I cut open the button hole to tie the tassels through.  I also zig-zaged the linen onto the top, about 1/4" away from the edge, then wrote the message, and pulled the threads to create a frayed edge.  The Twilight one was not bagged out, I just zigged the two pieces together (after I had embroidered them), and then frayed the edges.  The tassels are made of mostly scraps of yarn from the million Rapunzel scarves I made last year for Christmas (I hate throwing out "useful" scraps, so I just would gather them up into a ziploc bag and save them.)  There is also some embroidery floss, ribbon, and gold soutache worked in there.
Here's a detail shot of the Dumbledore one:

The one with the "fairy houses" on it is actually a small piece of a painting by Daniel Merriman.  I had a 2008 calender of his artwork, and when I was done with it, I couldn't bear to throw it out.  I made a million bookmarks out of it, as well as some postcards.  ...And there is still more of it left in my papercrafting bin!

Victorian Masks

And the ATC - The Godmother of ATCs. She who looks over the ATCs in the post and decides who makes it and who doesn't!

Thank you so so so much rackycoo! I love everything, and I have a special frame for the atc.
