My last dotee!  This one is from Dragonslair

This cutie came with a pretty castle card

Inside the card:
The vixen
Every once in a while the plain jane next door just has to let her hair down.

Thank you, Dragonslair!

whooppeeeee! i ran out in yet another snowstorm to retrive this little lady from my mailbox:

she's from thelastkodama! her name is dahlia, and she was inspired by a quote on my questionnaire from a book i had recently finished: "to fare on - fusing the self that dreams with the self that wakes." she's got lots of different embroidery on her and kodama sent her along with a pair of chopsticks, because mostly dahlia dreams about food! the note she sent was alavaged from my colored packing paper which in turn i had salvaged from the recycle bin. talk about re-using.

thank you kodama!

and here's all three of the new girls with my nessa:

thanks to all my partners! it's been a great first swap!

Yay my dotees are arriving! I want to make more right away, but I can't join in the next round because I'm about to do some serious traveling. I'll just have to stalk the galleries and stick it out until summer!

Yay - only two more to arrive and we're done. No flakes - double yay!

Happy Trails, kodama - where are you going?

Thanks, Smmarrt - I'm going to France with some other students from my college. Now I just need to figure out which small-scale crafts I can hike along with me, because no way am I going without for ten weeks!

this is the pic of my last dottee, from our fearless leader, isnt she so cute, I love mermaids. And I love the colour

thanks smarrt and thanks so much for organising this.

thelastkodama  check this out, this is what I always do when travelling, it was inspired by one that phizzychick made, I cant find her original post, but it will give you the idea. Its basically a journal that I precoloured the pages, all random colours and then on my travels i pick up all sorts of ephemera, paper, so you dont need scissors, just a glue stick and a black pen to draw/write stuff, my journal covers a few trips now and its a brilliant way to remember holidays, plus satisfying the crafty impulses while away

I do have an altered art journal that I was considering bringing, but doing backgrounds before hand is a great idea!

Alright so here's my last dotee. This one is from thelastkodama. Straight from Madagascar I give you......

...a cockroach. So I know a lot of people wouldn't want a cockroach, but I love it. He came bearing a couple very pretty chopsticks which Mr. Taco and I have been using to pinch each other with. Only problem is this little guy keeps skittering away and I keep finding him in weird places.

And finally I present you a group shot which provides proof that my partners took me seriously when I said I like things that are 'different' and 'weird'.

See you in the next round.   Wink
