Hello!
I'm brand new here, and already I can tell this website is going to be a huge distraction for me!  LOL

My first question is about converting a diaper bag.  I'd like to have one that's messenger style, but can also be converted to a back pack.  Some of the bags I've seen available in retail are gorgeous, but they don't convert.

How difficult would it be to modify something like this without completely botching it?  Can I attach D-rings or something?

I think if you add a loop to the back of the bag, you could use the same straps as this convertible bag tutorial does.

Thank you for that link!  That looks like a pretty simple thing for me to try...now it just depends on finding the right bag to attempt it on.

I took the D rings off a messenger back and reattached them closer to the center (more where they line up w/ my shoulders. Then I sewed a tube of sturdy cloth to the bottom, middle, back area and ran the messenger bag strap through the tube to convert to a backpack: http://twitpic.com/5dl4lt
