Hat and Scarf (yay! I can post pics now!)

I started making this for my mom's birthday. But I couldn't really get into it.
maybe I was burnt out from all the Christmas crochet I did.
Anyway, it turned into a Happy 2 weeks after your birthday present.

I used a Joann's brand yarn called 'Sensations'. It's acrylic, but nice and soft.
The hat is a simple beanie pattern from the Bernat website, I think.
The scarf is worked in 2 rows single crochet, 2 rows V-stitch pattern.
very simple. I made it up myself




It finally turned out very nice and very cozy.
Which is necessary in Michigan right now.

Very pretty! I have that yarn but haven't seen it worked up into anything yet...I like how it looks as a scarf!!

thanks! my mom's winter coat has a leopard print collar and cuffs. I thought the colors would complement it nicely.
