Update:

This is how I had "wrapped" that:

My sister's birthday is coming up soon. She has recently discovered a passion for cake decorating / cupcake making. You can see her stuff on her blog http://billetsglaces.com. She writes in French, but the cake pictures are in the universal language of Deliciousness. I made her this cute little apron as a birthday gift, following the pattern in the book "Bend-the-rules sewing". I'm really pleased with the result as I am pretty much a beginner in the sewing department. I added a kangaroo pocket as well as a little hand towel so she can swipe her batter covered / icing sweetened hands easily. The cupcake is my world premier attempt at appliqueing. I hope she enjoys it! I would love to hear any comments or suggestions for future projects. Thank you for looking!

***  On the day of her birthday (yeah, I work well under pressure) I embroidered "billets glacs" on the pocket, it looked just like it does on her blog. She loved it! Unfortunately I didn't think to take a new picture...

I love this!  It has all my favorite things...cupcake, cherries (we grow them), it's pink, it's super girly, and it's an apron.  I currently have an apron obsession.  Good job.  Smiley
