Over the summer I bought a desk from Salvation Army for ONE DOLLAR! I was really psyched about getting it home and giving it a make-over....
It has a really unique shape about it, with no plain straight edges around the top!

It took me a whole day of sanding, and another whole day of painting, but I finished it!

I'm really happy with how it turned out... it's currently my sewing table in my bedroom, but when I move into my new apartment, it will be the hallway table on which will probably be a mail sorter, a dish to put keys in and whatnot.
I plan on collecting a bunch of mismatched furniture and forcing it to match by painting it with the same paint.

Thanks for having a look!

I love the shape of the table. You never know what you'll find at the thrift store. You did a great job. And I think its a great idea to use mismatched furniture using the same paint. I bet it'll look so fun.

It's a kidney-shaped dressing table! Does it still have the swing-out arms that the curtains attach to? http://www.gaitainteriors.com/blog/?tag=vanity-tables  Scroll down almost to the bottom to see a pic of one being used in a glamorous art-deco bedroom.
