I have made a couple of ATCs in the past - but mostly stamps and doodles.

I played with several techniques today including gesso texturing, wax collage, packing tape transfers, etc.

I NEED to get a new printer! I am attempting to papercraft with my limted ephemera on hand!

For my wax, I used the melted remains of a scented wax tart in the burner.

You should! It is so much fun.
It is easily the MESSIEST craft I have done  Grin
It is also quite inexpensive.  The fun isnt in having all of the fancy scrapbooking supplies, its in finding the best random bits and bobs laying around.

btw - question to the ATC artists here: I have heard that many people use playing cards as their backing, but all of my playing cards are slightly smaller in width than a standard ATC.  Is this normal and accepted?

Another lil handpainted one (I tell ya, I am an addict already!)

Face, hands and star are all painted in a pearl paint which does not photograph well.  Edges are silver.

I love them! The designs are really great and I particularly like the background on the first one. It's interesting without taking the focus away from the picture.
