So far so good! 
No new yarn purchases, or ebay purchases, or trips to the craft store, even. I'm using up stash yarn.... acrylic, no less.... at a brisk clip.
To keep myself from roving the net looking for bargains, I started a blog. Can't apply to join your ring, yet, though, because I'm still trying to figure out how to get linking buttons on there!
And, oh, I did list some of my favorite yarn sources in the links....... but it's for window shopping purposes only! (at least until I clear out a bin drawer  )

how are you writing your code?  if you want a button to link to somewhere else you do this:

<a href="site you want to link"><img src="site where image is, like photobucket"></a> that should work for the basics then you can have it open on its own page and have the pic have a name when you hover over it

I've been away, and stuck redoing one project over and over (my SnB sample for their crochet book).  I cannot WAIT to put it down and get to knitting. Before I left though, I cranked out a few summer tops.  I'm having so much trouble changing blog places.... yarn glut.  On the other hand, being away from yarn has actually DECREASED my desire to buy more yarn.  Amazing!  I wish I could afford a nice cabinet with doors so that I could use that as my yarn storage and feel like I were shopping at a nice, neat yarn store every time!

I wish an Ikea would magically appear in Indiana.  How I long for real furniture....
I haven't bought yarn in a long time, either. Hurray!   I got rid of a large bag of acrylics in strange colors.  I still have a lot of yarn to use up, but I feel like I've made progress.

I'm not sure if this counts but I had a tiny amount of oddly colored roving hanging around so last night I spun it up and knit it into a (tiny) swatch.  I'm not sure what I'm going to do w/ a little swatch but at least that's one less thing hanging out in the closet w/ the other roving.

And we had a little disaster w/ my ball of fun fur and my dog.  I can't seem to justify throwing it away though, even though I hate the yarn and hate the color, and now it's a mass of tangles.

Still haven't bought any more yarn though! (though I have been very guilty of the yarn porn lately)

oh no you guys! i've done the most SINFUL THING.

someone i don't know sent me a link to a message board posting for BAGS OF FREE YARN.

but i emailed the owner of said stash.

gulp.

but i did want to use the yarn for chemo caps for charity and maybe snuggle blankets for shelter animals... so altho it's not justafiable, maybe its that a bit teeny tiny better?
