Okay, so I asked my dad what he wanted for Christmas, and he told me... He wanted a platypus. He's been on this platypus binge for a while, and he kept stealing my boyfriend's hearthstone pillow, and saying "thank you thank you." So NO MORE. ><  Tongue
Now he's got a platypus.
Please be nice. I didn't make a pattern for him, and I winged it as I went. The tail and the face were pretty much the only things that took a considerable amount of time to do. Smiley

The completely adorable and goofy face!

The body.

Hangin out in it's natural territory... for all of 3 minutes before he got trapped up and taken away.

I waffled the tail for detail. Grin

And another picture because I absolutely adore the tail. >> And it took a long time to do.

This took me about... $2.84 or maybe a few cents more, due to tax, and the SMIDGE of heavyweight stabilizer I put into the bill that I bought.

Stash busting::
-Black fleece (Pupils, bill, feet, and tail)
-Black and navy thread.
-Red and white felt.
-Part of my 10lb bulk pack of stuffing. (I count it as stash busting, because it was not bought specifically for this project. But you always need stuffing for SOMETHING.)

Please tell me what you think!

I think he is wonderful!  Any action shots with your dad?  How did he like it?  Now I want a Platypus!

My dad hasn't arrived at his house yet. I had my boyfriend drop it off on the kitchen counter to surprise him when he got back. Smiley

Hahaha I love it! His face makes me laugh. He looks really huggable, and the tail looks very realistic. Fantastic job!
