I made my sister one of these for Christmas (just with Mickey Mouse coins though). Wish you had posted this before I did it so I knew about your hammer and nail trick and hadn't spent so long trying to figure out how to get (a) the TINY drill bit to stick in my drill; and (b) the drill bit to not slip all over the penny! Your way sounds much better.

OMG i love those things. I get them everytime a see a machine with them. (So not often cause I don't do a lot of touristy things. In other words, I only have 2.) Plus they usually cost like $2, at least here.
