I'm not sure I understood you correctly, Calluna - you make up themed backgrounds ahead of time and store them til needed? How do you organize them? How do you choose which themes to do?

It's just something I've been doing the last few weeks, so I don't have any methodology to it; and I've only done it for one other set of cards so far (ie: http://www.atcsforall.com/forum/gallery/index.php?n=139584). I have these panels from cereal boxes and other paperboard packaging stacked under my bed, and I don't cut the panels into ATC-pieces until I know what I'm doing with them.
The themes were chosen entirely by what I have in excess in my paper stash.  Cheesy I went through my bins of tiny materials and put things into piles of relevance. In January I'd gone through an entire 1950s dictionary (one of those exhaustive dictionaries the size of 2 metropolitan phone books) and snipped out all the tiny illustrations and lots of definitions that stuck out at me. the bulk of the illustrations were birds, invertebrates, sea life, and mechanical devices (including a motorcycle, which was on the still-missing card I was supposed to send you  Smiley). So I found other materials relevant to those themes in my stash, and glued them all down together. Anything that didn't fit on the paperboard panels went back into my bins of random tiny papers for some other future use. Most of the panels are sitting unfinished because I failed to plan before gluing, and I ended up not having enough relevant images/text to cover them.

I sent to Glojo who received a few days ago, but I'm impatient, so I'm putting the ATC I sent her in the gallery!

Her theme was cupcakes ...

haha glad you like...I was so distraught thinking they'd been eaten by the govt. The bigfoot found poem, btw, was created from the text on the opposite page of the book I photocopied the image of the Patterson photo.
