Update!!! Finished the Day of the Dead version! I'm so happy with it!  Grin

I want to gush about how much I love this pattern!
It's Amy Butler's Frenchy Bag! If you are familiar with this pattern, this is the shoulder bag version.

Inside view:

Fabric detail:

2 years ago I saw the pattern in the store but didn't get it at the time because I was busy with other crafts in the works & filed it on my list of crafts 'to do'.
As part of my new year's resolution which is attacking that 'to do' list...I've finished the Elvis one...& have this one in the works for myself!

The Elvis bag will be going to one of my best crafty friends who has made such amazing crafted cuteness for my kiddos, I just wanted to return the favor a little & let her know how much I appreciate her! I hope she loves it!  Wink

I love the Frenchy bag! The timing for the Elvis bag is perfect since today was his birthday!  I would love to find that fabric for my mother!
Great bags!

These are really fantastic. I got a sewing machine for Christmas and am just starting to learn to sew but one day I hope I can make something this awesome.

Where do you buy your fabric at? It's so unique!

I've had the Elvis fabric for so long...I don't remember where I got it. The small polka dot fabric is leftover from my marilyn quilt. The big polkadot fabric is from either walmart or Joannes.
The skull fabrics were both from Joannes within the last week. I believe it's an Alexander Henry print!
Yay for a sewing machine for Christmas! Don't be intimidated...just grab a pattern & go for it!

I was intimidated at first also...but resigned myself to just do it! Glad I did!

Isn't it funny that I did this on his birthday... it wasn't planned that way. Must be good crafty karma or something! LoL!
