I'm in Huntington Beach and would love to meet up!

Hooray! I was wondering if anyone ever looked at this post anymore. So a couple of questions--do you prefer a public spot or a house? And what's a reasonable distance? How about a Sunday in the middle of June? Or we could ever try like a Thursday night? I'm in Orange and am happy to host to get things started, but I figured I'd put some options out there as we all get to know each other.

i think a public place would be nice to meet and get to know each other...also i have a million and one different crafts i like to do, but if someone is a more experienced sewer i would love to get some advice! Smiley i live in Costa Mesa and maybe a first meeting at a barnes and noble would be nice....a sunday or thursday night would work for me... Smiley

No, I like to rock n' roll all night and "part" of every day. I usually have errands... I can only rock from like 1 till 3.

In the interest of making scheduling a bit easier than going back and forth on the craftster forums and in reaching out to other folks, I went ahead and set up a group on Meetup. You can see it at: http://www.meetup.com/Sew-Freaking-Crafty/

How does June 13 work for everyone?

Anyone in South Orange County?  I am down in San Clemente.  I actually started and ran a crafting meetup.com group back in Colorado but don't have time to start one out here.  I really miss my crafty gals though!  We would each take turns teaching a class for the cost of materials about once/twice a month, and we did a stitch and bitch about once a week or so at a wine bar or coffee shop.  Once in awhile we did "commercial" outings and went to paint your own pottery places and such.  It was pretty awesome and I haven't seen anything like it out here.  I would start another one if I knew a few other people would want to help run it and plan meetups.  Anyone interested?

Hi everyone!  I'm new to Crafsters and it's so great to have such a wealth of information on one site! I would like to find out if anyone is hosting around Orange?  Tustin might not be a bad drive.  I'm in Brea.  I would have to go on the weekend.

So any news of when and where to meet?

Thanks, Stacy
