I just realized I have some old shoes that I can use for this. Unfortunately I gave all my old jumpers to the op-shop. Ohh well, I will have to go and find one.  These boots are seriously the coolest thing ever.

i am diabetic & have nerve damage in my feet so awesome shoes are hard to come by. the floors in my house are extremely cold in winter so i am all over this...thank you so much for helping to put the cool back in my shoes!!!

Thank you so much for this tutorial! I have been needing new boots and loved the knit uggs, but cannot ever afford them.
Found this pattern today and went directly to goodwill and they are finished!
