A big shout out to dellastella for her fabulous post here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=332817.0 which inspired me to make my own version of the Amy B. Sanibel bag. This bag is a bit more trapezoidish, and my dimensions are slightly different (11" tall, 18" wide at the base and 16" wide at the top, and 5 1/2" deep). I also changed the pockets a bit.

Expandable sides with magnetic snaps

Hidden zipper pocket beneath outer panel pocket

Inside views with laptop area and lots of pockets

I found the fabric at Ikea yesterday and was totally inspired. Heavy home decor weight at only $7.99 a yard, gotta love it!

And the back

Thanks for checking it out!

AHH!!! I ABSOLUTELY ADORE THIS BAG!!!

I was telling a friend of mine that mentioned an IKEA trip that finally buying some of those pricey but gorgeous fabrics might be what I have to do when I ever get to go again.

Thanks for proving it'd totally be worth the money!!!  Tongue

Great bag! Didn't realise you could buy fabric at Ikea, so I will definitely have to visit. Thanks for the tip  Smiley

This is so cheerful and bright and I love all of the pockets and details.  It's nice to see something warm and happy on such a dreary day!
