I think that it would totally work with a little blue cardigan and some ballet flats.  Rock the gurliness.

As long as an interesting outfit is well put together, it always will work.

Dorms suck ass...I can't have my sewing machine here! You're lucky...

VERY cute! (You are adorable too!) Wear it without the petticoat if you're uncomfortable with its fullness. You could lengthen it a bit with some eyelet lace or tulle along the bottom. I agree with wearing lacy bloomers or little frilly short shorts like justinexcore makes if you still feel uncomforable. I gaurantee you no one will mind! You're too cute!

AND...just have to say...College is the time to say fuckit I'lll wear what I wanna wear. If you feel good in it wear it out. Otherwise sell it to ME!

Hey, hey, hey. Thanks for the kind words, errrybody! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Funny story: I am home from college, and my family has some sort of "family-safe" internet screening, and it won't let me see this site. Cry Ridiculous. Don't worry, I am at the library now, just to satisfy my need for craftster!  Smiley
Here is the petticoat tute from which my inspiration was drawn:
