okay, so i modified it.  Grin

all red heart yarns, and i added a button in the middle of each square on the one side. i made up my mind on this snow day (woohoo!) to actually accomplish something, so i halfway cleaned up my craft room, did laundry, cooked supper, and (nearly) finished my bag!

all that's left is to line it. nice turquoise fabric picked out, too.



i swapped stashed with my friend - i had the blue/tan/brown yarn and she had the pink/tan/brown yarn. not sure if she ended up making up the same project....

thanks!

i did alter it quite heavily. i think the only thing i used from the book was the pattern for the square itself! would you believe i got those buttons at wal-mart? so shiny....

I like what you did with your bag. The way the color seems to swirl gives it movement. It's not as square as it seems!!!! Grin
