Best of 2013 winner, but this is just as good.

The problem with the fill a box swap is that you have to fill a flat rate box.  If you are sending paper, you need a ton of it to fill a flat rate box.  On the other hand, if you are sending yarn, a flat rate box doesn't hold much.  I know this because I've done both.

This is true.  And the fill a box swap is closed anyway.  oh well.

This sounds great. I, too, could be a giver and needer.

I think the fill a box swap would be good for someone who wants to sign up as giver and needer - because you send off supplies and get a box of new stuff in return!  Is there still one going on?

I'm just in dire need of fabric. Like, it's sad haha. And I was just saying if there was a ton of people who needed yarn and not enough givers I could give someone my yarn, although I don't have a ton of it, I would part with what I have if needed!

the fill-a-box swap is great if you're american, but for us canadians, it's pretty rare that the canadian equivalent creeps up.

When do you think you would be starting it?

Okay, since there seems to be a bit of interest, how does everyone feel about starting sign-ups tomorrow, closing around the 22nd? Send-outs for givers at the beginning of February, thank-you packages by 2 weeks after receiving?

Sounds good to me but I do have one little problem... My fist swap, it's the Disney Villians one. My name is being added to the list on my one month mark which is the 13th. Sure feels like I have been here a lot longer.

If it's cool i can still be a giver. I think I have some old fabric scraps to add. I would really love to be a part of this too.  Grin Lemme know.

Unfortunately, you have to finish your first swap before you can sign-up for multiple swaps at a time. Sad
