I finished this for the 50 projects in 2010. I had made one for myself about 2 years ago, and then I wanted to use up the rest of the supplies, so I started making another one.

I did all the needle point, and it took me another year to finally put the felt in and velcro on!

Not sure what I"m going to do with it now... but it's done!!!

I eventually want to make more with other retro nintendo stuff like classic game boy and perhaps pac man!

Here it is before I finished it!

Finished with the felt and velcro

And one with my ds in it!!

C & C welcome!!!

Nice!
They're a lot of work!
50 projects for 2010 sounds like a good idea too!
I have a pink DS in a black and red case.. My brother wants one, but it took me 12 hours (I couldn't sleep.. so that's all I did) to make and I couldn't move my wrist for a few days.. haha.

I've been trying to figure out how to make a case out of plastic canvas for my DS for a while, and I may just borrow this pattern. What are the dimensions?

All these numbers are in terms of the plastic "lines" not holes!!

top/bottom: 39x23
sides:  either 39 or 23 by 10

Check out my newest case:

I made one and it is very time consuming.

hilary01:

It's really not that hard and the materials are pretty cheap too!  There are a lot of tutorials for doing plastic canvas  stitching (and probably some on craftster too!)  Umm... I honestly don't know how long it took, it was a while ago.  I'd guess 8-10 hours maybe??  Hope this helps!  If you have any other questions feel free to ask, and I'll try to get back to you.
